FOXBOROUGH — One guy who knows what Corey Coleman is going through is Phillip Dorsett.
Dorsett, who was acquired prior to the start of last season, says that when it comes to Coleman getting up-to-speed in the offense as a new receiver, he faces a sizable challenge.
“It’s going to be tough,” Dorsett said when asked about Coleman’s ability to get acclimated quickly to the New England passing game. “It’s going to take a lot of time, a lot of sacrifice. But I think he’s up for it. Obviously, the play book is hard. You know takes time. No one just comes here and just picks it up on the fly and is ready to go. It’s going to take a lot of time. The playbook is continually evolving. But as long as he stays in it, and stays alert in the meetings … it’s going to take sacrifices. It’s tough. As long as he does that, I think he’s up for it.”
Dorsett, who is just now starting to feel comfortable in the New England offense, had seven catches for 66 yards and a touchdown in the opener against the Texans in last Sunday's opener.
