BSJ Daily Briefing 09.13.18: Pats RB depth tested again, Price keeps rolling taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning!

  • 100 wins for the Red Sox who are now on pace to make franchise history with over two weeks of games to play. At this rate, they will have AL home-field advantage clinched by this time next week.

  • David Price's numbers in the second half are pretty absurd. 5-0 with a 1.56 ERA. He hasn't allowed over three earned runs in a start since July 7th. That's a type of consistency you hope he can carry into the postseason.

  • Going to be a challenging week for the Pats backfield after Rex Burkhead entered concussion protocol on Wednesday. James White was already plenty busy last week but it will be intriguing to see whether Sony Michel is anywhere closing to give it a go against Jacksonville.

  • We will hear from Gordon Hayward for the first time in weeks today at the Auerbach Center as he details his rehab and status ahead of camp. Expecting good news there but will be intriguing to hear the details come out of it.
