FOXBOROUGH -- Trent Brown wasn’t at the start of Patriots’ practice on Tuesday, but it doesn’t sound like there’s much of a cause for concern. According to ESPN, Brown has an excused absence, and is scheduled to be back on Wednesday. He’s also expected to be in the lineup on Sunday for the opener, per ESPN.
In addition, center/guard Brian Schwenke was in attendance, wearing No. 63. Per multiple reports, Schwenke re-signed with the Patriots earlier in the day Tuesday. Meanwhile, new receiver Amara Darboh is gone as quickly as he arrived -- ESPN reported Tuesday afternoon that he has already been cut loose.
Bolden headed for South Florida
One guy who won’t be back is running back Brandon Bolden. The veteran, who was part of final cuts over the weekend, was signed by the Dolphins. Bolden, who had been around Foxborough since 2012, was thought to have a good shot at returning. The personable veteran was a steady special teamer who could spell the regular running backs as needed. Our Twitter friend Fear The Beard put together a nice collection of his highlights with the Patriots over the years.
