Going to put all the news and information that comes out in one place with our analysis so you can just keep coming back to this page and not having to click on individual stories (which is how you know which outlet is a clickbait factory — there are plenty of those are here):
Here's my final version of the 53-man roster
5:48 p.m.: Officially, here are the moves made by the Patriots' today, per the league wire.
The team has also already signed off on the paperwork for the Richards deal.
For what it's worth, just because a move we've reported on isn't listed here, it doesn't mean the wheels aren't already in motion. Some of the holdups can be procedural in nature.
5:31 p.m.: From Chris.......the Patriots cut cornerback Ryan Lewis, defensive lineman Frank Herron and wide receiver Devin Lucien, per league sources. All three have practice squad eligibility. By our count, the Patriots are now at 82 83 players, and have to cut 29 30 more between now and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
1. Per a league source, John is being examined to gauge the extent of injury he sustained last night. His long-term status is unclear, at least right now.
2. The team has released running back Khalfani Muhammad. NESN's Doug Kyed had it first.
With Shane Lechler cut, Tom Brady becomes the fourth-oldest active NFL player, behind kickers Adam Vinatieri, Phil Dawson and Matt Bryant. https://t.co/XImfMwpEvr
