Live Coverage: Camp rolls on for Patriots in Foxborough taken at Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

(Adam Richins/Boston Sports Journal)

FOXBOROUGH -- With no joint practices on the horizon this summer to change things up a bit, the Patriots are pushing through the first week of August on the way to the first preseason game of the summer, set for next Thursday. We'll keep an eye out throughout the morning here in Foxborough for the latest, including whether or not the team (or the fans) are going to do something special for Tom Brady's 41st birthday. Keep it here all morning for updates.

11:10 a.m.: Things are starting to wrap up, which means media availability is looming. More updates to follow.

11:06 a.m.: Patterson makes a great catch in the corner of the end zone, and it looks like that puts an exclamation on things. As the group heads off to run the hill, David Andrews is being tended to by the trainers.

11:04 a.m.: Duke Dawson keeps showing up. Working with an impressive group of defensive backs around him, manyof whom are really showing support for the youngster. He'll make the occasional mistake, but with no Cyrus or Jonathan Jones in sight, he's doing well to take advantage of the reps he's been given.

11:03 a.m.: Lots of running and lots of laps in the heat today. Brandon King is running burners on one field while Waddle has to take a lap for jumping in 11 on 11s.

11:01 a.m.: Looks like Gronk is on the same plan as Brady today. Low-intensity day for the veterans.

11:00 a.m.: Tye drops a ball in the end zone from Etling on a very similar play to the Allen one a few plays before. Tye -- who has had a pretty good camp -- camp hold on to the next one either.

10:54 a.m.: Dwayne Allen drops a ball in the end zone from Hoyer. Rough. But it looked like -- on the play after that -- Mike Gillislee powered a ball in from short yardage.

10:51 a.m.: Shocked if we see Brady take a snap in 11-on-11s this morning. Hoyer getting the bulk of the work as he trades off with Etling. Hoyer and Dorsett beat Eric Rowe along the sideline for an impressive connection.

10:45 a.m.: Hoyer botches the snap, and is off to run a lap. The rest of the offense follows.

10:45 a.m.: Punting drills -- Allen had a 3.96, 3.97 and 4.32, while Bojorquez had a 4.59, 4.20 and 4.00.

10:34 a.m.: Schwenke comes out, and is being tended to. Isaiah Wynn moves to guard -- interesting, because I believe that's the first time we've seen him on the interior to this point in camp. (Schwenke is being carted off.)

10:30 a.m.: Etling fumbled the snap ... just a minute or two after Belichick squirted water on the ball. Took off to run a lap without looking back. Smart young man.

10:23 a.m.: Harmon picks off Hoyer after Edelman slips on a route, Think that's the third INT of camp for Harmon. And Jordan Richards delivers a really nice pick on a Hoyer ball down the sidelines. Nice play for the defensive back

10:22 a.m.: Trent Brown in space on a quick out is something to see.

10:20 a.m.: Wynn has been dominated in the one-on-ones on the edge so far today by the likes of Adrian Clayborn. Rough day for the rookie. And we just heard the third "Happy Birthday" for Brady.

10:13 a.m.: With Etling, there's good and bad -- he motions Will Tye to a spot where he's supposed to be pre-snap. (Good) And then, he misses badly on a deep ball for McCarron. He follows that with a ball in traffic for Tye that's tipped and nearly intercepted. (Bad)

10:10 a.m.: Deatrich Wise taking a lap.

10:09 a.m.: Not sure we've seen Brady take any snaps in 11-on-11s to this point. Maybe that's his birthday present.

10:08 a.m.: Robert Kraft on the field this morning.

10:00 a.m.: Etling takes over, and has nice completions to Berrios, Lucien, and Turner. Finishes 3-for-5. He also executes a nice run-pass fake where he pulls it back and runs.

9:58 a.m.: Hoyer looks really sharp here in the early going. Just tossed some dimes to McCarron and Hollister. Finishes drill with four straight completions, including an impressive floater to Edelman.

9:55 a.m.: Waddle at left tackle again to start the 11-on-11s.

9:52 a.m.: Duke Dawson with a great PBU on a deep pass play from Hogan to Berrios. Will Tye follows that with a nice one-handed catch in coverage.

9:52 a.m.: Cordarelle Patterson with another highlight-reel catch, this one over Ryan Lewis.

9:52 a.m.: Kenny Britt down to the rehab/practice field.

9:45 a.m.: Marquis Flowers running a lap for some sort of infraction.

9:34 a.m.: The rehab/PUP group just headed down to the lower fields -- Ebner, Mitchell and the rest of them.

9:32 a.m.: Jay-Z's "PSA" led the playlist during stretching. Makes sense on Brady's birthday. (Now, they have "Once in a Lifetime" from the Talking Heads. Loving the playlist this morning.)

9:31 a.m.: Kenny Britt is back on the field in pads. No sign of Marcus Cannon or Sony Michel, however, as well as Jason King, who got dinged up on Thursday.

9:17 a.m.: The crowd just sang "Happy Birthday" to Tom Brady as the quarterback hit the practice field.
