Tom Brady shuts down Edelman-Guerrero talk, and other takeaways from his press conference taken at Gillette Stadium (Patriots)

FOXBOROUGH — Four takeaways from Tom Brady’s post-practice Saturday morning press conference, which ran for roughly five minutes and touched on a handful of topics:

1. He doesn’t care for the connection some have made between Julian Edelman’s suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs and Alex Guerrero.

At the end of his presser, the quarterback was asked what he thought about some people drawing a line between Edelman’s work with Guerrero and the suspension. Was that fair?

“No comment. It’s ridiculous. I’m out. See you guys,” Brady said before walking off.

2. He said his absence from the OTA’s was an attempt to try and balance football and family.

3. He wasn't biting on a report he played a role in making sure Josh McDaniels didn't go to Indy.

4. The offense is a long way from where it needs to be.
