CharlieMcAvoy was named to the NHL's All-Rookie team – the first Bruins selection since ToreyKrug was named to the team in 2013-14.
McAvoy joined the Bruins two years ago when he left Boston University and joined the Bruins in the playoffs. He followed that with his first full season and led all first-year defensemen in time on ice (1,395:17, 22:09 per game). The 20-year-old blue-liner had seven goals and 25 assists, the sixth-most points by a rookie Bruins defenseman.
Nashville Predators goalie JuuseSaros, Devils defenseman WillButcher, Islanders forward MathewBarzal, Canucks forward BrockBoeser, and Coyotes forward ClaytonKeller rounded out the team. Keller and McAvoy were teammates at Boston University.
