Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I contemplate how much I'm sick of talking about where LeBron might be going every four-ish years. It's like a presidential election with ESPN beating it like a dead horse for three months...
- Believe it not, there are some NFL teams that will blow off the final day of minicamp to take the players on a "team-building exercise" like paintball and skeet shooting. Don't think we have to worry about Bill Belichick passing up a practice day. See, obviously Bill hates fun.
- The Steelers go to Dave & Buster's... and they wonder why they can't beat the Patriots.
- The Red Sox' season, between series against the likes of the Yankees and Astros, is like groundhog day. Pencil them in for 5-7 runs and 1-3 runs allowed.
- Still, I don't get how Andrew Benintendi has suddenly exploded since being elevated to the lead-off spot. Strange.
- Every time I tune into the NBA Finals, I'm left with the same question about the Cavs: The Celtics lost to those guys?
- Only on the Warriors can Steph Curry not hit anything for three-plus quarters and his team still wins a Finals game.
- This is fun for those guys? Where's the challenge?
- Congrats to all the MLB draft picks with Massachusetts ties, including the son of Eagle-Tribune columnist/sports editor Bill Burt.
