Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Friday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.

It was a wild start to the NFL draft Thursday night. A few quick thoughts from Round One.

--I will likely regret this, but I love the Baker Mayfield pick to the Browns at No. 1. Guy has big ones, and plays the game without regrets. I dig that. If the guy wins five games for Cleveland this year, they should retire his number. I have to be honest -- I wasn't crazy initially at Cleveland going for Denzel Ward at No. 4, but after some thinking, I'll give it to them.

--Josh Rosen was clearly miffed about dropping, and let people know he's going to be gunning for them. The Cardinals made the smart move going after him -- he should be fun to watch in that offense. And if all goes well, Arizona finally got the quarterback it needed. It gives them a shot in a division that has a ton of really good signal-callers, and capped off a remarkable run for this year's QB class.
