In the third inning, Rafael Devers golfed a pitch off the scoreboard in right with the bases loaded, giving the third baseman his first career grand slam. It was the fourth grand slam for the Red Sox in their last 10 games after going all of 2017 without hitting a single one. The Sox also got a solo homer from J.D.
