McDonald: David Pastrnak finds some adversity in Game 3, and that's OK taken at Air Canada Centre (2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs)

TORONTO — Oh, how Bruins fans are spoiled.

On one night everyone, including the media, is praising David Pastrnak for his outstanding six-point performance in Game 2. He earned that praise. He was dynamic in the first two games of this series and it appeared there would be no stopping No. 88 from running away with the Conn Smythe trophy in June.

Pump the brakes a bit, and I include myself in that category.

After the Bruins' 4-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 3 on Monday at Air Canada Centre, I was thinking that Pastrnak wasn't at his best defensively, especially on the Auston Matthews' game-winning goal in the second period, and I was being critical of his performance.
