TORONTO -- The Bruins expected this type of pushback from the Maple Leafs, so it shouldn't be a surprise Toronto finished with a 4-2 win in Game 3 of the first-round series Monday night at Air Canada Centre.

"They played well today," said Bruins' David Pastrnak. "We're still a better team and we had tough luck today around the net and they didn't. We'll forget about this and get ready for Game 4."

The Bruins still lead the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 here on Thursday.

No. 34 gets 1: It only took Auston Matthews 154-plus minutes in this series to record his first goal and it was a big goal. It proved to be the game-winning tally at 14:47 of the second period.

"It’s great," Matthews said. "Just the emotion of the crowd and everything. It felt like an earthquake in your feet when you score, especially in playoffs. It’s definitely emotional and exciting."
