Here's a look at some of the moves the Patriots have made in the last few days and their overall impact on the salary cap.



1) We learned the official numbers for Matthew Slater. ESPN's Mike Reiss reported the details -- two years with a maximum value of $5.2 million. In 2018, Slater can receive up to $2.8 million in cash.

• Base salary: $1,200,000


• Incentive: $100,000


• Signing bonus: $1,000,000


• Roster bonus: $400,000 ($25,000 per game active)

• Base salary: $1,600,000


• Option bonus due by the end of the 2017 League Year: $400,000


• Roster bonus: $400,000 ($25,000 per game active)

• Base salary: $1.2 million


• $500,000 in signing bonus proration from his 2018 $1 million signing bonus


• Roster bonus: $225,000 ($25,000 per game active). Since Slater was active for nine games in 2017 only nine games would be considered LTBE (Likely to be Earned) for 2018

• Base salary: $1,600,000


• Option bonus: $400,000
