The Bruins surrendered a two-goal lead and eventually lost 5-4 in overtime to the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night at TD Garden. The Blue Jackets have now won eight consecutive games. Boston had plenty of chances to put the game away, but Columbus kept coming back and finished with the win.
The expletives could be heard from down the hallway from the Bruins locker room after the loss. They still earned a point and now have 99, but haven't clinched a Stanley Cup playoff berth.

Impressive debut: Sorry, Harvard, but this performance was one reason why Ryan Donato made the right decision to turn pro and sign with the Bruins. The 21-year-old forward scored a goal and added two assists in his NHL debut. He was outstanding at both ends of the ice and proved crucial, especially with the Bruins dealing with so many injuries. Not only did he post a three-point game, he totaled 19:40 of ice time and posted six shots. The last Bruin to have a multiple-point game in his first NHL game was Jarno Kultanen with three assists on Oct. 5, 2000.
Ryan Donato (goal, two assists) became the eighth Bruin to score his first career goal this season and first to register a multi-point game in his NHL debut since Jarno Kultanen in 2000. pic.twitter.com/sjjosftqhJ
