NFL free agency is officially here. Make sure you follow along here for all the updates, and feel free to weigh in with your thoughts in the comments — I’ll make sure I check the comments section for questions throughout the day.
8:06 p.m.: Per Field Yates, the Patriots have set up a date with running back Jeremy Hill on Friday. Makes sense, as they continue to kick the tires on the available pass-catching types. The 6-foot-1, 233-pound Hill has 704 career carries for 2,873 yards and 29 career touchdowns to go along with 67 catches for 484 yards and one receiving touchdown. The 25-year-old has played four seasons in the NFL, all of them with the Bengals.
7:15 p.m.: Eric Ebron is apparently on New England's radar screen, according to Adam Schefter. The tight end is set to meet with the Panthers on Friday and the Colts on Sunday. If he makes it through those two visits without signing, he has a meet-and-greet with the Patriots after that.
6:13 p.m.:
I’m told free agent DL Adrian Clayborn “is flying to Boston tonight” for a scheduled visit with the #Patriots, per source.

Patriots and Falcons showed some hustle and grit in contacting RB Danny Woodhead recently, source says. We'll see if he and his lunch pail head to either place deceptively quickly to pay a visit.
