The Patriots take care of their special teamers.

Brandon Bolden and Brandon King already re-upped before the start of free agency. And on Tuesday, Nate Ebner got a two-year deal from New England, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Ebner, who saw his 2017 season come to a premature end because of a knee injury, has carved out a niche as a core special teamer for the Patriots. The 6-foot, 220-pounder has spent six seasons in the NFL — all with New England.

In the context of this conversation, it’s also important to note that it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Matthew Slater — another core special teamer who is also set to be an unrestricted free agent — agrees to a deal to return to the Patriots sooner rather than later.
