Good morning!
Congrats to area parents for getting through school vacation week. And congrats to the Bruins for landing Rick Nash. It’ll be interesting to see how that all shakes out, but it gives them a bit of a jolt for the stretch drive. (If you're a B's fan, you hope things turn out a little better than they did last night, anyway. Maybe some of what happened could be explained away by the fact that it was the last game on the longest road swing of the year.) Anyway, kudos to Joe McDonald for continuing to bust his hump and get all the details on the Nash deal. And after what seemed like an interminable delay, the Red Sox are set to officially announce the J.D. Martinez signing on Monday morning. Follow our guy Sean McAdam in Fort Myers for all the updates. Good way to kick off your week.
And away we go…
