A few quick quarterback-related thoughts...
--Our first position-by-position breakdown on Monday was at quarterback, and it resulted some really good discussions in the comment section about what sort of current college quarterbacks might be appealing to the Patriots. There's been a lot of talk about Richmond's Kyle Lauletta being the next Jimmy. Commenter "Canada Ty" posted the link to this video, a look at Lauletta's highlights from this past season at Richmond. So what do you think, Pats fans?
--Tom Brady's old throwing guru Tom Martinez was the first guy to make me aware of the "Rule of 26-27-60," which says that if a quarterbacking prospect scores at least a 26 on the Wonderlic test, starts at least 27 games in his college career and completes at least 60 percent of his passes, there's a good chance he'll succeed at the NFL level. Of course, it's not foolproof, but it's certainly more food for thought as we head into the pre-draft silly season.
