After a bit of initial confusion about whether or not Rob Gronkowski was in a red non-contact jersey at Wednesday’s practice, it appears that the tight end is, indeed, still in the concussion protocol.
Many readers have written to ask me -- is it time to worry?
No. Since his injury ten days ago in the AFC championship game, Gronkowski has been working his way through the following five steps of the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Coach hits the podium and clarifies that Gronk was not in a red jersey today but was treated in practice as if he was wearing the red jersey. Coach says Rob was limited in practice and he's at the moment in the protocol. #WBZ #Patriots pic.twitter.com/KkNGePvay0
