BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — At his media availability on Tuesday morning, Tom Brady still had a black glove on his right hand, and while the quarterback sounded an optimistic note about his health, he said it’s still “not quite where I want it to be” at this point on the calendar.
“I’m just trying to protect it the best way I can,” Brady said when asked about the hand. “It’s obviously a very important part of my body as a quarterback, so I just want it to be as healthy as possible for the game on Sunday.
“Under Armour just made it for me,” Brady added. “It’s a great glove. It’s got a lot of recovery in it, and that’s what I need.”
Update on Gronkowski
Rob Gronkowski was excused from media obligations on Tuesday because of his injury, but that didn't stop the big tight end from participating in a "Madden" competition against former teammate LeGarrette Blount Tuesday night at the Microsoft Store at the Mall of America.
