Trey Flowers, who will turn 25 in August, will be going into the last year of his rookie deal in 2018. Jerry Hughes who received a $9 million average per year (APY) deal, was 27 years old, at the time of his signing. Tyrone Crawford was about three months away from his 26th birthday years old when he signed his $9 million APY extension in 2015. Vinny Curry was 28 when he signed his $9.25 million APY deal.

After adjusting for age and the increase in the league salary cap since those three signed their deals, I end up with a $10 million APY deal with Trey Flowers -- a $12.5 million signing bonus with his 2018 and 2019 salaries fully guaranteed, as well as 46-man active roster bonuses of $62,500 during the last four years of the extension.

Answer: Either Amendola retires or he re-signs with the Patriots. I can't see him leaving the Patriots.

Answer: Based on his 2013 and 2016 extensions, I expect Brady to receive a $30 million signing bonus while lowering his 2018 and 2019 salaries to the minimum.

Before extension
2018 cap number
Salary - $14,000,000
46-man active roster bonus - $1,000,000
2016 signing bonus proration - $7,000,000
Cap number = $22,000,000

2019 cap number
Salary - $14,000,000
46-man active roster bonus - $1,000,000
2016 signing bonus proration - $7,000,000
Cap number = $22,000,000

After extension
2018 cap number
Salary - $1,015,000
2016 signing bonus proration - $7,000,000
2018 signing bonus proration - $7,500,000
Cap number = $15,515,000 for a savings of $6,485,000

2019 cap number
Salary - $1,030,000
2016 signing bonus proration - $7,000,000
2018 signing bonus proration - $7,500,000
Cap number = $15,530,000 for a savings of $6,470,000

2020 cap number
Salary - $14,000,000
46-man active roster bonus - $1,000,000
2018 signing bonus proration - $7,500,000
Cap number = $22,500,000

2021 cap number
Salary - $14,000,000
46-man active roster bonus - $1,000,000
2018 signing bonus proration - $7,500,000
Cap number = $22,500,000

This would lower Brady's APY from $20.5M to $16,022,500.

Answer: A 28-17 victory for the Patriots.

[embed]https://twitter.com/kansas_snow/status/954127150096973825[/embed]

Answer: Very low. I think Belichick will not name a DC in 2018, since he will, in effect be it.

[embed]https://twitter.com/lastexposfan/status/954810459588366336[/embed]

Answer: I would cut Mike Gillislee, Martellus Bennett, Alan Branch, and David Harris creating $11,648,750 in cap space. Would restructure Dwyane Allen lowering his 2018 cap number from $5 million to $2.5 million creating another $2.5 million in cap space.

Answer: Brandon King, Johnson Bademosi, LaAdrian Waddle, Dion Lewis, and Ricky Jean Francois.

Answer: Depending on his injuries, yes to the first question. As for the second question, it's more accurate to say the injured players not listed on Patriots.com roster are not likely to come back the following season. This is not good news for Caleb Kidder and Andrew Jelks.

[embed]https://twitter.com/vsanthos/status/953984752821919744[/embed]

Answer: Yes, reaching all of his incentives made Rob Gronkowski the highest-earning tight end in 2017. In 2018, Gronkowski is scheduled to receive the most cash out of any tight end. Please note that it was his All-Pro selection and not his Pro Bowl honor that enabled Gronk to reach his $5.5 million tier.

[embed]https://twitter.com/20YearDynasty/status/954808567332253698[/embed]

Answer:. No. Gillislee's 2018 cap number of $2,181,250 has no guaranteed money or signing bonus proration.

[embed]https://twitter.com/AnthonyCurtis68/status/954751965937963008[/embed]

Answer:. I have these cap numbers
Drew Bledsoe - $8,236,390
Damon Huard - $655,200
Michael Bishop - $401,827
Tom Brady - $314,960

Total = $9,603,777
2001 Patriots adjusted cap = $66,253,000
QB percentage = 14.5 percent

Answer: Please note that since this estimate will change frequently between today and March 14, 2018 — the first day of the new league year -- so I'll answer this question on a regular basis:

League cap: $178,100,000
Prior year carryover: $3,000,000
Adjustment: -$600,000
Patriots adjusted cap: $180,500,000
2018 cap commitment: $166,800,000 (After tendering Ted Karras as an ERFA and signing 10 practice squad players to future contracts, the Patriots should have 62 players signed or tendered for the 2018 season.).
2018 CAP SPACE: $13,700,000

[embed]https://twitter.com/kenfaretra/status/953978139822215168[/embed]

Answer: My numbers are for 62 players signed or tendered. Expect the Patriots to extend an ERFA tender to Ted Karras and to sign the 10 players on the practice squad to futures contracts.
