Tom Brady not spotted at start of practice; Cam Fleming could get call at RT vs. Bills taken at BSJ Headquarters (Patriots)

Tom Brady was not at the start of practice Wednesday afternoon, according to those present in Foxborough.

The quarterback, who was on the injury report last week with what the team called an Achilles’ issue, also missed practice last Wednesday, but he played Sunday against the Dolphins and threw four touchdown passes in the win.

There was good news and bad news for the Patriots offensive line. The good news? Center David Andrews, who missed the last two games because of an undisclosed illness, was back on the field at the start of Wednesday’s practice.

The bad? Tackles LaAdrian Waddle and Marcus Cannon were not spotted at the start of the workout. If both are unable to go on Sunday against Buffalo, that will likely mean a heavy workload for backup Cam Fleming, who has been uneven when pressed into service over the last year-plus.

Defensive end Trey Flowers and linebackers Kyle Van Noy and Trevor Reilly were all banged up late in Sunday’s win, but all three were spotted on the field Wednesday as well. According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, wide receiver Chris Hogan (who has missed the last three games with a shoulder injury) and Reilly were heading down to the lower practice field as reporters departed to get some cardio work in, usually a sign they’ll be listed as limited when the injury report is released Wednesday afternoon.
