FOXBOROUGH — We’ll leave any sort of professional diagnosis to the likes of our own Doc Flynn, but it was interesting to see both quarterback Tom Brady and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle cruise through the locker room Wednesday afternoon looking no worse for wear.

Both registered DNPs Wednesday, as neither one of them were spotted at the start of practice. Brady -- who had a bandage on the back of his left elbow -- was listed on the injury report with an Achilles, while Waddle was listed as having an ankle injury. They were two of five who did not practice, a group that included offensive tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle), wide receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder) and linebacker Trevor Reilly (concussion).

In addition to that group, the following players were listed as limited: wide receiver Danny Amendola (knee), center David Andrews (illness), linebacker Marquis Flowers (knee), defensive lineman Trey Flowers (rib), cornerback Eric Rowe (groin), special teamer Matthew Slater (hamstring) and linebacker Kyle Van Noy (calf).

In what should be perceived as a position sign, Andrew spoke briefly with the media after practice. The center, who missed the last two games, is looking to return to action this week after sitting out games against the Raiders and Dolphins.

“They definitely did a good job,” said Andrews of his teammates in his absence. “It was good to see them go out there and compete. It was definitely tough sitting out on the sidelines and watching.

“It’s just I’ve been fortunate to be able to get out there and get working, and that’s just what I’m going to do.”
