Updated: Martellus Bennett has torn rotator cuff, practices with team … now what?

(Greg M. Cooper/USA TODAY Sports)

Update: Despite not practicing for two weeks with the Packers and being released with an injury designation, Martellus Bennett was on the practice field with the Patriots today, meaning his passed his physical with the team.

Wouldn't put on your old Marty Bennett Patriots jersey quite yet.

That injury that forced his release from Green Bay with a "failure to disclose" designation? Turns out it was a torn rotator cuff, according to NFL Network.

This isn't exactly the biggest surprise. Bennett played through shoulder issues all last season for the Patriots, but gutted it out.

What's this all mean for his return to the Patriots?
