The hits just keep coming for the Celtics on the injury front. Days after losing Al Horford to a concussion, Kyrie Irving will not return to the floor for Friday's game against the Hornets after taking an accidental elbow to the face from teammate Aron Baynes.
The All-Star point guard stayed on the floor for several seconds after the contract and appeared to be bleeding from the nose and mouth area. He walked under his own power back to the locker room with the training staff. The team announced at the end of the quarter he would be out for the remainder of the contest as he's monitored for concussion symptoms.
