BSJ Daily Briefing 10.20.17: Why was Thursday a landmark day in the sports world? taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

(Bob DeChiara/USA TODAY Sports)

Happy Friday, everyone! We made it. Hope you got a chance to enjoy the fact that Thursday was a rare sports equinox -- it was only one of 17 days ever where NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL games were all going on. And from playoff baseball, to the early-season NBA and NHL contests, and a truly wild finish between the Chiefs and Raiders on Thursday Night Football (who said TNF stinks?), it was a great day to be a sports fan.

A few reminders:

And away we go...

(Personal note -- I had a lot of fun reporting this story, an oral history of the 2007 team. I think you'll dig it, even if you're not a BC football fan. Seriously)
