Why James White's 'late hands' paid off Thursday with big catch

One of the more impressive plays late in Thursday’s win over the Bucs was a key reception from running back James White. On the play, White was able to wait an extra beat before throwing up his hands at the end of a wheel route, just before the ball got to him. White’s patience on the play made it so that he wasn’t able to tip off defensive end Ryan Russell — who had his back to the play — that the ball was on the way.
