BSJ Daily Briefing 09.27.17: Slumping Sox

Sorry for the late post today. Had to put out a bunch of small fires this morning.

Busy day coming up, with the Patriots starting prep for the Panthers, Celtics with a double session of practices in Newport, the Bruins are back on the ice and the Red Sox limping to the finish line against the Blue Jays. Of course, BSJ will be on top of everything.

I'm not sure what to make of the Red Sox at this point, which I guess you can pretty much say for their season as a whole.

I mean, the Red Sox just lost two-straight games (and weren't all that competitive) started by the pitchers expected to be the No. 2 (Drew Pomeranz) and No. 1 (Chris Sale) starters in the postseason. Hopefully, they're just working on some things and trying to ramp up for the Division Series, but it's not a great look. And why does it feel like that Magic Number is permanently frozen at 3 games?!



Another one against the Jays tonight, and then the Astros (the likely Division Series opponent) come to town.
