Tight end Rob Gronkowski was on the field with the rest of his Patriots teammates at the start of Thursday practice, as well as offensive lineman Marcus Cannon. The only two players who weren’t spotted were running back Rex Burkhead (rib) and defensive lineman Vincent Valentine (knee).
Gronkowski was spotted at the start of Wednesday’s workout, but was later listed on the injury report as a DNP because of the groin injury the team said he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Saints. As for Cannon, he was out Wednesday because of an ankle and concussion, per the injury report.
More good news for New England? Dont'a Hightower (knee), Danny Amendola (knee/concussion) and Matthew Slater (hamstring) were all spotted at practice for the second consecutive day.
