Shea McClellin is going on injured reserve, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
The linebacker has been battling heath issues throughout the summer. The 28-year-old, set to head into his second season with the Patriots, is a 6-foot-3, 250-pounder out of Boise State who had 41 tackles in 14 games last season with New England.
According to those at practice this afternoon, running back Brandon Bolden -- who was released over the weekend -- has returned. It would seem apparent that a McClellin-for-Bolden roster switch is imminent.
