Good morning!
Another good day for our growing outfit. Not only did we hit 1 million page views on our 26th day of existence (!!), but we were finally able to announce that Joe McDonald is our Bruins writer.
I couldn't be more excited about this. Joe fits into our brand (really don't like that word ... profile?) perfectly. He's New England through and through, he's a respected journalist with a lengthy track record, and he has great sources to bring you the kind of insight and information that we strive for here at BSJ. To boot, Joe's a terrific family guy, the kind you want to hang out with a BBQ and have a few beers with. And he's definitely up for doing that with our readers at the Garden, and on the road. So make sure you say hello to him here and on the streets.
And, for just a small taste of what's to come and the kind of respect Joe has in the hockey community, his first story is a 1-on-1 with Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy. Lots of good stuff in there for the puckheads.
Really can't believe we hit 1 million page views in less than a month. It's amazing. You guys are consuming everything we can give you, and more is in the works. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And if you like what you're seeing, spread the word!
One of the big things we're trying to get going is notifications, for breaking news and for when big stories are posted on the site. I wanted them done when the apps debuted, but apparently the platforms aren't all that stable and we want to make sure it works well before we debut it. Trust me, I want them too.

We debuted our New England Roots feature with Andover native Bill O'Brien.
Price might be the new King In The North after doing podcasts in Canada and Bangor. Wonder if he's seen the Army of the Dead.
