Live Coverage: Texans joint practice II taken at The Greenbrier (Patriots)

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Little bit of a late start as we conducted a few interviews to bring you later, but let's get going:

  • No LaAdrian Waddle so that means that with Nate Solder still out, Cam Fleming is your only veteran LT.

  • Mike Gillislee, Brandon King, Keionta Davis, Tony Gracia, Waddle, Solder, Shea McClellin, Matt Lengel and Deatrich Wise among those still out.

  • The Patriots have definitely upped the intensity level after getting pushed around yesterday. There has been a lot of chatter from the Patriots sideline during 11 on 11.

  • On the first play, Derek Rivers recorded the sack, which got the rest of the players pumped up.

  • Stephon Gilmore is back participating.

  • Kony Ealy had a sack and then got shoved out of his gap on the next play and gave up a big run.

  • Tom Brady was sacked when Whitney Mercilus dominated Cam Fleming. On the next play, Dion Lewis tried to help Fleming tackle Mercilus. The result: pretty play-action seam pass from Brady to Chris Hogan.

  • Nate Ebner, who was put on his back during a blocking drill yesterday, got into with a Texans player after a live kickoff. Jawed all the way to the sidelines,

  • Brady was 2-of-2 with a sack on his first drive.

  • Brandin Cooks is also back.

  • Geneo Grissom is on the bike.

  • Bill Belichick buddies Tony LaRussa and Tom Crean (a Harbaugh in-law) are at practice.

  • Derek Rivers injured on a kickoff drill. Checking his left knee. Walked off on his power.

  • Steve Belichick was happy with Kyle Van Noy's block on a kickoff return. "I see you KV. Way to blow that (stuff) up!"

  • Think Cyrus Jones bobbled a punt return. On other side of the field.

  • There's a lot of language being used today, mostly from Pats sideline.

  • Malcom Brown just snuffed out a screen, much to the delight of the Pats sideline. They're really into it.

  • Jonathan Jones just popped a Texans returner good. Sideline loved it.

  • LB Trevor Bates is getting a lot of first-team run today. Had two great consecutive plays where he carried at TE down the field, then dropped into coverage and defended the pass. Then he blew up the RB to make a sack.

  • Another Bates sack.

  • James O'Shaughnessy with the catch of the day over the top of a Texas LB from Brady.

  • Eric Rowe with a better play: got off block on a screen, stripped the RB, recovered and took it to the house for a TD.

  • Ealy is back in.

  • In two minute drill, Jaelen Strong caught a TD over Malcolm Butler.

  • Brady answered with a bomb to the post and Chris Hogan. Brady later hit James White for a TD.

  • Garoppolo's set ended with a few disappointing misses to Austin Carr, one where Carr was wide open.
