Game coverage from Bedard

We'll be back with much more later.

10:24: Final throw out of the end zone. Game over.

10:23: Lucien caught the ball but out of the back of the end zone with 5 seconds left.

10:15: Patriots take final timeout on defense before a second-down play with 2:33 left.

10:11: Patriots turn it over at the Jacksonville 10 after Brissett can't connect with Hollister in the end zone on a pass that was a little late and high.

10:08: Devin Lucien draws a long pass interference penalty on a ball he had no chance at catching.

10:06: Myers misses a 53-yard field goal. NO OVERTIME.

10:03: Cyrus Jones is now playing safety. Could just be numbers, or he could be getting the Devin McCourty treatment.

SCORE: D.J. Foster 3-yard TD run on a toss left. Jaguars 31, Patriots 24 with 10:47 left in fourth quarter. (10 plays, 77 yards, 4:22)

SCORE: Cyrus Jones roasted again on a 42-yard touchdown from Allen to Dede Westbrook. Jaguars 31, Patriots 14 (7 plays, 81 yards, 3:45). Jones appeared to think it was Cover 2 with safety help over the top but no one else played it that way. He could have been right. Richards wasn't great on the play again either.

9:40: Roberts is down and being tended to by the trainers. He's had an up and down night and played a lot of snaps.

9:33: Jacoby Brissett has entered the game for Garoppolo, who finishes 22-of-28, 235 yards, 2 TD (125.4 rating). Not bad.

9:26: Fumble by D.J. Foster after a reception at the Jaguars 10-yard line ends another promising drive for the Patriots and Garoppolo.

SCORE: 79-yard touchdown run by Corey Grant as Jordan Richards didn't offer much resistance coming down from the safety spot. Jaguars 24, Patriots 17 with 11:02 left in the third (1 play, 79 yards, 18 seconds).

Elandon Roberts wasn't much better on the play. Very boom and bust.

SCORE: Garoppolo 5 yard slip screen to Maye with a good block from Cam Fleming. Patriots 17, Jaguars 17 with 11:20 left in third quarter. (7 plays, 74 yards, 3:40).

9:09: Garoppolo is back out and starts with a 17-yard completion. He's feeling it now.

Going into the comments.

Wise has a head injury, will not return.

SCORE: The Austin Carr Drive concludes with Garoppolo keeping the play alive back to his left, throwing back to the right where Carr made a terrific leaping catch for a touchdown. Jaguars 17, Patriots 10 with :14 seconds left. (9 plays, 76 yards, 1:43)'

Garoppolo is likely done now. Finished 16 of 21 for 133 yards and one touchdown (107.8 rating).

Carr has five catches for 44 yards and the score.

8:46: Great throw, better catch by Austin Carr on a deep comeback and Carr tiptoed the sideline.

SCORE: Fournette scores easily on third and goal from the 1. Jaguars 17, Patriots 3. (4 plays, 54 yards, 1:48) with 1:57 left in first half.

8:37: Pass interference penalty for 44 yards on Jason Thompson to setup Jaguars. He was trying to bail out Cyrus Jones, who was beaten again.

8:34: Gostkowski missed a 56-yard field goal short and to the left, just like he has in practice.

8:32: Great catch of a high pass to Jacob Hollister on third down. 16 yards. Only place Garoppolo could put it.

8:29: Line now from LT to RT: Waddle, Douglas, Ferentz, Croston, McDermott.

Garoppolo flees the pocket and delivers a first down to Carr while going down. Nice play by Garoppolo.

SCORE: Henne just hit Keelan Cole on a 97-yard touchdown pass that roasted Cyrus Jones, who was on an island in press man coverage. Jones made no contact with Cole off the line, and then was lost when the ball was in the air. Not good. Jaguars 10, Patriots 3. (1 play, 97 yards, 0:12)

8:19: Fleming just got put on his back. On third down, Garoppolo had a chance at hitting Jacob Hollister but missed.

Ryan Allen had an excellent 53-yard punt angled out at the 3-yard line with 4.06 seconds hangtime.

8:18: New OL is LT Fleming, LG Douglas, C Ferentz, RG Karras, RT McDermott.

8:15: 50-yard field by Myers is no good to the left.

On the previous play, Henne had the post corner open by missed an open receiver against Jonathan Jones.

8:10: Deatrich Wise got twisted down on a Jaguars run to his side and he went down like he got shot. Now he's up and walking off under his own power. Replay shows knee to the back of the head. Probably concussion protocol.

Chad Henne in at QB for Jaguars. Jaguars run one play and now we move to the end of the first quarter.

SCORE: 43-yard field goal by Stephen Gostkowski. Drive: 11 plays, 60 yards, 5:28. Patriots 3, Jaguars 3 with 51 seconds left in first quarter.

8:00: Drive ends on a 1-yard sack after a low snap from Karras. Nothing Garoppolo could do.

7:58: Patriots putting a good drive together, mostly with Branden Bolden. Ted Karras had a pancake on a 24-yard Bolden run on third down.

Roger Goodell is in Robert Kraft's box.

SCORE: 27-yard field by Jason Myers with 6:19 remaining. Jaguars 10 plays, 28 yards, 4:42. Jaguars 3, Patriots 0.

Good pressure by Derek Rivers on third down. Better coverage by the secondary.

7:47: Roberts is the MLB, Jonathan Freeny made a nice TFL for a loss on first and goal.

7:45: Nice tackle by Elandon Roberts on third-and-1. Brings up fourth and short.

Leonard Fournette picks it up. Quick and low through the hole.

7:41: LaAdrian Waddle missed a cut block and Yannick Ngakoue had a sack. I didn't have a problem with the Garoppolo holding the ball. The play was meant to get out quick to the left. Garoppolo had no chance.

7:35: Jaguars will receive.

Good tackle but Jonathan Jones on the kickoff.

Jaguars start the drive at the 7.

After a 15-yard run for Chris Ivory, OLB Harvey Langi did nice to string out a run for no gain.

After the first play, a good series. Langi also covered well on a pass play.

Cyrus Jones caught the punt with no problem.

7:29: Patriots take the field. Brady and Garoppolo are throwing, but Brady doesn't have his knee brace on. Garoppolo looks like he's getting ready to start.

Moment of silence for former coach Dick MacPherson and quarterback Babe Parilli.

Pregame

7:12: Patriots just left the field. I may have missed a few people, but the players I didn't see were WR Matthew Slater, CB Eric Rowe, RB Mike Gillislee, LB Dont'a Hightower, LB Shea McClellin, OT Tony Garcia, OT Andrew Jelks (NFI), LT Nate Solder, DT Alan Branch.

Think LaAdrian Waddle was the only person to take snaps at LT during warmups. Tom Brady was among those starters that got some action in warmups but aren't expected to play.

6:22: Not playing for the Jaguars:

https://twitter.com/Jaguars/status/895772320052252672

6:04: Jacoby Brissett is on the field throwing passes. No sign of Jimmy Garoppolo.

5:47 p.m.: There are about 35 Patriots doing stretching in the end zone, including RB Mike Gillislee, DT Malcolm Brown and OT Cam Fleming.
