FOXBOROUGH — Chris Price and I are on the scene at Gillette and we’ll bring you any big happenings on the practice field.
Note: Due to media policies our in-practice observations are limited, but we’ll have a thorough breakdown following the session.
Here we go...
Video of Tom Brady taking the field.
- DE Kony Ealy is back. LB Rob Ninkovich is not. Also not spotted: WRs Danny Amendola and Malcolm Mitchell.
- Robert Kraft making his first appearance.
- Former Jaguars and current UCLA offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is here for the second day as a guest of Bill Belichick. Josh Rosen insight, maybe?
- WR Cody Hollister was injured during a drill and has left the field. Appeared to be right arm/shoulder.
- A lot of individual drills so far.
- Jimmy Garoppolo threw back-to-back interceptions for the second-straight day. The first was a wounded duck into coverage, and the second was a great play by CB Eric Rowe.
- CB Cyrus Jones is off to a good start in this practice. Is reading routes well and providing tight coverage, which irritated Chris Hogan.
- To have a real future in this offense, Jacoby Brissett is going to have to shorten his delivery. Brings the down to hip before releasing.
- Ealy hasn't really done much today.
- Brandin Cooks and Matthew Slater are taking advantage of the dwindling numbers at receiver. And just as I say that, Slater has had a slight limp.
Practice has concluded.
