PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins will reshuffle their lineup a bit after five days off, with Mike Reilly returning to the ice after getting scratched the previous two games. He will skate on the third pairing with Jakub Zboril. Connor Clifton will sit.

Up front, Craig Smith will play after missing the previous two games due to a nagging injury. He will skate on a third line with Jake DeBrusk and Erik Haula.

Linus Ullmark will get the call in net on Saturday against the Flyers, while Jeremy Swayman will start Sunday against the Flames.

Trent Frederic – who has missed the last three games due to an upper-body injury — skated on Saturday morning in a red, non-contact sweater. He won’t play this weekend, but could return mid-week.

Thanks to this schedule, the Bruins have a lot of catching up to do — with the B’s holding at least two games in hand on every other team in the Atlantic Division.

"It hasn't been great," Brandon Carlo said of Boston’s schedule. "I think we've all looked at the schedule each day and saw that we're at 13 games and other teams are at close to 20. It's been really weird. But ebbs and flows of the season, you've got to adjust. I think we can just find our groove again in these next couple games and from there we should be pretty well set because things will get a little more consistent with games throughout the week…overall, I think we just want to continue to play."
