PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins will be shorthanded once again, with David Pastrnak, Hampus Lindholm, Linus Ullmark and Jesper Froden not making the trek out west with Boston. 

With Froden, who was injured late in the third period of a 2-1 win against the Penguins on Saturday, ruled out, Curtis Lazar will slot into a top-six spot next to Taylor Hall and Erik Haula. 

Jeremy Swayman will get another start in net with Ullmark out of commission with an undisclosed injury. 

The Blues have been an O-zone leviathan for more than a month, with St. Louis scoring four or more goals in their last 12 games -- the longest such stretch in the NHL since the 1992-93 season, when Pittsburgh scored four or more goals in 15 straight games. St. Louis is 11-0-1 during this span with nine consecutive victories, including a 4-2 win at Boston last Tuesday.
