PREGAME NOTES

The Bruins are going to be missing some key cogs in the lineup for Friday’s matchup, with David Pastrnak and Hampus Lindholm ruled out due to an undisclosed and lower-body ailment, respectively. 

With Pastrnak out, Marc McLaughlin will slot into the lineup on the second line — while Mike Reilly will skate on the top D pair next to Charlie McAvoy. Connor Clifton will also play on the third D pair next to Derek Forbort.

The Lightning will also be shorthanded, as Ryan McDonagh is set to miss his eighth consecutive game on Friday night. The veteran defenseman has been sidelined with an upper-body injury. 

Both the Bruins and Lightning are tied for third place in the Atlantic Division with 93 points apiece. Boston is coming off of a regulation loss to the Red Wings, while the Bolts have lost two straight games and are 4-5-1 in their last 10 outings.
