Final: Red Sox 4, Twins 0

Tanner Houck and two relievers limited the Minnesota Twins to just four hits, while the Red Sox got two-run homers from Alex Verdugo and Xander Bogaerts for a 4-0 shutout victory.

Verdugo went deep for the second time in as many days and third time this season when he cranked a pitch from starter Sonny Gray over the home bullpen in the second inning, scoring J.D. Martinez ahead of him.

After Gray departed with a hamstring injury, Bogaerts connected for his first homer of the season, into the Monster Seats, in the third.

Houck earned his first win of the season, allowing just two hits over 5.2 innings.
