Final: Red Sox 5, Rays 1

Veteran Rich Hill delivered one of the best performances by a Red Sox starting pitcher this season, tossing seven shutout innings and fanning 11 as the Sox took their second straight from Tampa Bay, 5-1.

Hill allowed just four baserunners -- three singles and a walk -- while earning his sixth win of the season.

Hill was backed by a four-run first inning by his teammates. J.D. Martinez and Bobby Dalbec each supplied two-run singles and Kike Hernandez later added a solo homer.
