The Red Sox hung with the Milwaukee Brewers for six innings before things got away from them over the final three. Milwaukee took the lead in the seventh and then added two more runs on the Red Sox bullpen in the ninth for a 4-1 victory.

Ryan Brasier's first pitch in the seventh resulted in a single that scored the go-ahead run and Hirokazu Sawamura allowed two later.

The only Red Sox run of the night came in the sixth on consecutive doubles from Christian Vazquez and Alex Verdugo.

Brayan Bello was sharp over 4.1 innings, allowing two runs while fanning four after following opener Austin Davis
