The Toronto Blue Jays jumped on Nick Pivetta for five runs in the second inning, and that more than stood up in a 6-1 victory for the Jays.

Toronto sent 10 men to the plate in the second, during which Pivetta issued three walks and threw a wild pitch. A two-run homer by Raimel Tapia got the scoring going.

The Red Sox had actually led after one when J.D. Martinez singled home Rafael Devers. But the Red Sox were blanked over the next eight innings and finished the game 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position.
