Final: Red Sox 3, Astros 2
HOUSTON --- Returning to the site where their season ended last October, the Red Sox, shaken by some pre-game trades, managed to hold off the Houston Astros, 3-2, for their second straight win, enabling them to get back to .500.
Jarren Duran knocked in all three Red Sox runs -- one on a double and the other two with a fifth-inning homer.
Nathan Eovaldi pitched into the seventh, allowing only two unearned runs, the result of back-to-back errors by Christian Arroyo and Xander Bogaerts. John Schreiber pitched out of trouble in the eighth when he caught Jeremy Pena looking with runners on second and third.
