Final: Red Sox 6, Angels 5 (10th)

Thanks to six innings of one-run relief, the Red Sox held off the Los Angeles Angels, 6-5 in 10 innings, for their sixth straight win while dealing the Angels their 13th consecutive loss.

The Sox went ahead on a run-scoring single by Christian Vazquez in the top of the 10th, whose opposite field single deliver Trevor Story from second base. It marked the second straight night that Vazquez provided the game-winner.

After Garrett Whitlock struggled over four innings, the Red Sox bullpen took over in the fifth. Jake Diekman allowed a run, but four relievers followed who did not allow another run and yielded just one hit the rest of the way.

It was the team's first extra-inning road win of the season.
