1B Bobby Dalbec makes his first big league appearance since June 25 and only his 11th of the season after manning first base for 117 games one year ago. Dalbec thrived in Triple-A Worcester this year, hitting .269 with 33 home runs, 79 RBI and a .938 OPS. He arrived in Toronto during extra innings after the Red Sox placed 1B Triston Casas (shoulder) on the 10-day IL shortly before Saturday's game.
RHP Kenley Jansen will rejoin the Sox in Texas tomorrow for their series against the Rangers, and is eligible for activation from the COVID IL on Wednesday. RHP John Schreiber blew a save pitching in his place in the ninth inning on Saturday.
