Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers

6:00 p.m., TD Garden

NBCS Boston, ESPN

Things to watch for:

1. Combinations: I'm not going too deep into starting lineups because Joe Mazzulla begged us not to and I'm a sucker. Okay, fine, Joe. But that's not going to stop me from watching what combinations you're throwing out there. How much are Jrue Holiday and Derrick White playing together? How much are Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford playing together?

I'm not going to go too crazy about it, though, because they have a game tomorrow so the main guys might be even more limited than usual for a first playoff game.

2. Curveballs: This is the time to start working on the goofy stuff, so how much zone will the Celtics throw out there? What kind of plays will they run for Porzingis. I'm looking to see some semblance of a late game offense early on in the game where they run Porzingis as a screener who then turns and seals looking to post his mismatch. Mazzulla wants to figure out how to use Porzingis in the post, and this will be great chance to do so.

3. Improvements: What have guys added to their games? What has Mazzulla added to his playbook? Basically, what's different in these guys this year as compared to last year.

4. The new guys: Not just Porzingis and Holiday, but what are they getting out of Oshae Brissett, Lamar Stevens, Svi Mykhailiuk, Wenyan Gabriel, and those potential role players?

Follow along for my thoughts during the game. They'll appear down below and in the comments section.
