What to watch for: It’s back to smooth sailing for the Boston Celtics. They’ve won three games in a row at home.

Now, they’ll take a one-game road trip to Tennessee for a game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Tale of the tape: The Celtics and Grizzlies have only met once this season, and it was back on November 12. Jaren Jackson Jr. was still on the team, and he led the Grizzlies in scoring with 18 points.

Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard combined for 63 points as the Celtics cruised to a 131-95 victory.

Last game: In their last game, the Celtics picked up a big-time win over the Golden State Warriors in their last game (on Wednesday night).

Brown put up 32 points, six rebounds, and five assists, and Jayson Tatum ended the night with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Standings check-in: The Celtics are a full four games back of the Detroit Pistons, who have been atop the East for most of the year. That said, with the injury to Cade Cunningham, that gap could shrink.

Boston is still 1.5 games up on the New York Knicks in third.

Grizzlies check-in: Memphis has been dealing with a ton of injuries this season (as evidenced by their lengthy report). And since trading Jackson to the Utah Jazz at the deadline, they’ve pretty much been in full tank mode.

Ty Jerome has come back from injury and is playing well. In his last five games, he has averaged 21.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists while shooting 45.1% from the field and 44.4% from deep on 7.2 three-point attempts per contest.

Jaylen Wells has put up 16.3 points in his last nine games, shooting 51.5% from the floor and 43.9% from distance on 6.3 three-point attempts per game.

On top of that, Olivier Maxence-Prosper (40.5% in his last nine games), rookie Javon Small (43.8% in his last eight), and Rayan Rupert (43.3% in his last seven) have been on fire from beyond the three-point arc.

One fun play: Look at the way the Celtics’ defense is able to swarm and collapse against bad spacing. Since Neemias Queta isn’t worried about Draymond Green shooting the ball, he drops all the way back, trapping De’Anthony Melton.

Brown does a great job of following right behind the play, and he eventually nabs the steal.

Then, White roams all the way over from the opposite corner to contest Green for the loose ball, which ultimately ends up in Boston’s hands.
