Preview: Just one more game to go before they begin to count. The Boston Celtics will be on the road on Friday night, taking on the Philadelphia 76ers for the second time this preseason.

Last time out, the Celtics played their regulars, but the Sixers kept LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, and Joel Embiid on the pine. Boston earned a blowout victory at home.

This time around, it seems relatively likely that the Celtics will sit their starters. Sam Cassell will be coaching this game, per Joe Mazzulla's media availability last week in Cleveland.

Tale of the tape: The Celtics have gone 3-0 in the preseason so far, including their massive win over the Sixers earlier this week. That game marked the first time the Celtics' new core shared the floor together.

As for the 76ers, they are 1-2 in the preseason thus far, though their full team has only played one game (a loss to the Brooklyn Nets). Philadelphia has not suited up since their last game against the Celtics.

The history between these two sides is obvious. It was obvious before this summer, and the league-altering Jaylen Brown trade only added more heat to the rivalry.

Now, Philadelphia will be entering the season as one of the top contenders to win the NBA Championship. And the Celtics will be hoping to prove their front office right.

One fun play: Baylor Scheierman isn't going to have the ball in his hands a lot this year. But he could. He's got some impressive playmaking chops.

Just look at this play. The cameras don't even catch it fully. That's how quick the decision was.

As soon as Scheierman passes half-court, he sees Jayson Tatum sneaking past his man in the paint. He has rookie Christian Anderson -- a 6-foot point guard -- on him.

So, Scheierman tosses the ball to a place only Tatum can catch it. And the Celtics end up with an easy alley-oop at the basket. Great court vision, and even better awareness.
