Game 31: Celtics (-10) vs. Orlando Magic, 3:00 p.m., TD Garden, NBCS Boston

Injuries:

Boston: Danilo Gallinari, Jayson Tatum (personal reasons)

Orlando: Wendell Carter, Jr. (foot), Gary Harris (hamstring), Jalen Suggs (ankle), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Chuma Okeke (knee)

Magic projected starters: Markelle Fultz, Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner, Bol Bol, Paolo Banchero

Refs: Ed Malloy (#14), Marat Kogut (#32), Dannica Mosher (#89)

Last time they played: The Magic beat the Celtics 117-109 on Friday night behind Mo Wagner’s 25 and 20 from rookie Paolo Banchero. The Celtics came out hot in the first few minutes but cooled significantly to finish the game 23.9% from 3. Jayson Tatum had 31 and Jaylen Brown had 26 in the loss.

A little something about this game: This the second game of a two-game set between the Celtics and the Magic, who are now on a 5-game winning streak. The Magic win moved them to 2-11 on the road. Tatum will miss the game due to personal reasons. Al Horford was fined $25,000 for the elbow to Mo Wagner that got him ejected Friday night.

How Boston wins: Prevent the preventable -- live ball turnovers, offensive rebounds, free throws because of excessive fouling -- All of it was a problem on Friday night. There is certainly not an expectation of perfection, but the 20 second chance points and the 15 points off turnovers were way too many. Limit those things, and this should be a cakewalk.

How the Magic win: They’ll need another outlier game like the one they got from Mo Wagner. He doubled his scoring average on Friday night, giving the Magic a huge bump. They’ll also need to run off turnovers and misses and put pressure on Boston’s transition defense.

Things I’m looking for:

- A much better effort: I expected the rough night on Friday. That's out of their systems. Now, especially with Tatum out, I expect a different level of focus. I think the Celtics could win the first quarter by 20 and build on it from there if they come out and just play with focus and intensity.

- Smoother game from Robert Williams: He came out of the last game feeling fine, and Joe Mazzulla said before the game that he expects to use Williams the same way. With some of the rust knocked off, let’s see him play a little cleaner in the early going, getting to the right spots right away.

- Better bench effort: The second unit didn’t give Boston its usual boost. They need to get back to their old selves, preferably from deep. How about a 4-6 night from 3 from Sam Hauser? We haven't seen that in a while.

Follow along below or in the comments during the game, chime in, and let’s have fun.
