Final: Bruins 4, Flames 3 (OT) - Marchand scores rebound goal in overtime giving Bruins win over Flames
The Boston Bruins defeat the Calgary Flames 4-3 in overtime with a goal from Brad Marchand. In the first period, the Bruins were the first to get on the board with the help from Hampus Lindholm. Skating into the offensive zone, David Pastrnak curled toward the boards and found Lindholm crashing to the net. With the puck on his stick, Lindholm scored on the backhand completely faking out Flames' goalie Dustin Wolf to put the Bruins in front early.

The Flames responded 17 seconds later as Tyson Barrie ripped a shot from the point scoring the second and final goal of the period.
In the second period, the Bruins played their best period of the game scoring two goals from Pavel Zacha and Cole Koepke. Midway into the period, Pastrnak lost the puck while skating into the offensive zone. The puck would fly into the air and land on the stick of Zacha who instantly shot the puck into the net retaking the lead for Boston.

In the third period, the Bruins weren't able to maintain the lead as Calgary rallied a two goal period of their own.Marchand received an early roughing minor, and Calgary scored on the power play with a tip from Yegor Sharangovich. The Flames would then score their second of the period as Nazem Kadri toe-dragged and sniped a two-on-one goal sending the game into overtime.
With less than a minute left in overtime, Elias Lindholm stole the puck from behind the Flames' net and passed the puck Marchand on the right side of the slot. After getting stopped on his first shot, Marchand caught the rebound on his backhand and immediately fired an off-balance backhand shot to the front of the net sealing the victory for the Bruins.

In the game, Boston showed moments where they had it figured out offensively, but they also had moments where they weren't able to get into the offensive zone. Joonas Korpisalo has another strong performance in net making key saves that kept Boston in front the entire way. It was great to see Lindholm and Zacha getting involved offensively as both of them contributed significantly toward the win.
On Saturday, Linus Ullmark will make his return to Boston as the Senators come to town. Puck drop will be at 7 p.m.
