Boston’s final preseason contest will more or less be a dress rehearsal for the start of the regular season, with a number of lineup regulars set to stake against the Devils at TD Garden.
With Taylor Hall still out, the Bruins will keep Pavel Zacha on David Krejci’s line and slot Craig Smith up to Patrice Bergeron’s line. In order to make room for a RW like Smith, Jake DeBrusk will move over to his original position at LW.
Charlie Coyle will not play Saturday, with Jim Montgomery noting his absence as “precautionary”, but added that the B’s third-line center is expected to play in Wednesday’s season opener down in Washington D.C.
Anton Stralman and Chris Wagner will be the scratches for Boston, while both Matt Grzelcyk and Taylor Hall remain out due to injury.
Linus Ullmark will get the start in net and is expected to play the entire game.
